Victoria Beckham for Target - Black and White Sweater

I love this classic sweater from Victoria Beckham for Target. The texture makes this sweater unique while the colors make it versatile. It's supremely comfortable.

For this look, I paired the sweater with a pair of Quacker Factory Dream Jeannes in a dark denim. The crops are out of control comfortable. They would be perfect for a warm summer day and they even have pockets!

For makeup, I used Too Faced's Sweet Peach palette -- it really does smell like peaches to create a more natural look. We had a local bloggers event and I got new head shots taken so I wanted a more timeless makeup look. I'm wearing KiKi from the Kim Kardashian West collab with Kylie Cosmetics. It's my favorite color from the set of four lipsticks and the most pink one. I'll have a makeup tutorial on this look on my YouTube channel soon.

My purse is an adorable Kate Spade (similar) with a big bow,  but you can't see it any of the photos so you'll just have to take my word for it. I've been using this purse because it's a little smaller and lighter - perfect for spring!

I love my pedicure - black with silver sparkles so I had to include a photo. Also, the wedges are Earthies. I guess this outfit is just all about being comfy. :)

I hope you enjoyed this fashion OOTD post. I haven't been doing as many style posts, but I'm happy to be getting a few back on the blog. I'm definitely focusing on my beauty content and getting a video posted at least once a week. It's also helpful because my mom is back in town and was able to take photos for me. Get your party dress on for New Year's Eve

New Year's eve is quickly approaching! Now is the time to start thinking about your New Year's eve dress, if you don't already have a sparkly number picked out and hanging in your closet.

Tips for picking the perfect New Year's eve dress

• Consider location - will you be hanging out at a house party, attending a gala or going clubbing? Certain styles might make more sense depending on your plans. However on New Year's eve, you can always be dressier than the location dictates. If you like sequins, wear them... even if you're just headed to a local dive bar.
• Decide on a budget - is this a dress you will wear over and over again? If so, you can afford to spend a little more, which does translate into quality and fit. If you purchase a classic little black dress like the Lauren Ralph Lauren dress #3 above, you can shell out a little more cash with the assurance you can wear the dress to multiple functions for years. But if you're looking for a sparkly number that you might only wear once, definitely check out a less expensive brand like Forever 21. Charlotte Russe also has plus size dresses at bargain prices.
• Ignore trends - It's fun to be stylish and on-trend, but the point I'm trying to make is that it's more important for the dress to look good on you! Different styles flatter different body types. If the it-dress of the moment doesn't flatter your curves, keep looking. Don't be afraid to try on a dress that looks ugly on the hanger, you would be surprised how often I've LOVED something I tried on that initially I didn't even like.

What to pack in your purse

Don't forget these essentials for New Year's eve

1. Mints or gum - every gal needs fresh breath on New Year's eve
2. Lipstick or gloss - touch ups will be necessary
3. Cash - cab fare or something unexpected, it's just a good idea
4. ID and credit card - obvious, but necessary 
5. Foldable flats - if you're wearing high heels
6. Hand sanitizer - stay germ free
7. Tylenol - in case you get a headache
8. Kleenex - they just come in handy
9. Ear plugs - stash a pair just in case
10. Smartphone - doubles as your camera too

'Tis the Season for fun plus size Christmas sweaters

Christmas carols were playing this weekend and I couldn't help singing along. There is just something about those fun holiday tunes...you can't help, but get into a festive mood. I put together this huge collection of a bunch of holiday sweaters and cheery leggings for plus size gals. There are a lot of great price points too if you don't want to spend a lot on your holiday looks. If you get a Christmas sweater now, you can get a lot of wear out of it between now and Christmas. I am loving the pink sweater with Santa and little snow balls all over. It makes me laugh just looking at it and will likely be my Christmas sweater this year.

Floral shift dress vibes

A cranberry top in a pumpkin patch

Hello to the end of October. Has anyone else's month flown by? I cannot believe we're going to be talking Thanksgiving and Christmas soon. But before we get too focused on the upcoming holiday season, let's talk about this cranberry top. It's flowy, comfy and a bargain from Old Navy. I love the fluttery sleeves. It's seasonless--just as easily office appropriate as casual. The lipstick is Love Bite from Kylie Cosmetics. It's her new color for fall. I absolutely love it! I hope you are enjoying fall. PS: The earrings are handmade and available on etsy. They are so lightweight and gorgeous.
